Assalamu ‘alaikum and welcome to the HICC website.
The Havering Islamic Cultural Centre (HICC – Romford Mosque) was founded in 1982. HICC is a registered charity which aims to serve the social, cultural and religious needs of the Muslim community living in Havering.
With your help, we have recently made significant improvements to the mosque with new prayer carpets, air conditioning units and improved ablutions area. We have separate dedicated facilities for females.

Eid salaah times: 1st: 7:30 am 2nd: 8:30 am 3rd: 9:45 am
The 1st of Dhu al-Hijjah 1435 is Thursday 25th September 2014. The day of ‘Arafat is on Friday 3rd October 2014. This means that Eid ul-Adha will be celebrated on Saturday 4th October 2014 inshaAllah.
Car Parking at the Mosque…
We have car parking facility, however this is primarily to serve elderly, female drivers and visitors, especially on Fridays and during days of celebration (such as day’s of Eid). Where possible we encourage worshipers to use the car parking facility at the Brewery, which is 2 minutes walk from the mosque and on Sunday’s parking is free!
Please be considerate to our neighbours and under no circumstances block neighbouring garages or park on adjacent roads as it is highly likely that mobile traffic wardens would take photo for processing a fine and you car may even be removed.
Donations – Please donate generously…
The mosque has obtained planning permission to build a single storey extension to the front to increase security, enable better organisation of shoe racks and to increase prayer area on the ground floor. You are therefore requested to donate generously in order for us to progress with the extension work. It is with your support the mosque continues to flourish and serve the Muslim community.
